The University of California, Santa Barbara, is perhaps one of the premier campuses of that particular university system. However, because of the bigger profile campuses such as the one at Berkeley and the one at Los Angeles, a lot of different people feel that UCSB is overlooked in many different areas. One of those areas is funding and in order to help reach some of the goals that the university wanted for expansion of facilities and projects this year, they embarked on a massive private fundraising effort.
